Anybody who knows me knows that I am ridiculously, and embarrassingly, obsessed with all things Harry Potter. Major dork admission here, but I’ve read each of the books at least 4 times. My favorite ones of the series I’ve read over 6 times… each. Yes, I’m a nerd. And damn proud of it.
Found via BuzzFeed , below is a picture of J.K. Rowling’s plot schedule and timeline. The Harry Potter series are so intricate and the details so important, as a fan, its really cool to see how she strings it all together.

So. My last blog was in FEBRUARY! i know… im lame. And that blog was about starting a new job in San Francisco…
Is there a direct correlation between blog posts and work schedule? Yes, I think so. And the reason I think so is that this blog post (my first in seven months) is about the fact that I QUIT said terrible job (yes, it was that horrible).
More to come later about the departure from my first real job ever (go me). And, now that I’m gainfully fun-employed I have made it a point to blog more. But, not yet. Now, I’m going outside to enjoy this AMAZING weather! Indian summer, 74 degrees? yes please!

love and hugs and lotslotslots of sun,

Moving to San Francisco tomorrow. Starting a new J.O.B Monday.
It’s always both exhilarating and scary to leave behind a chapter of your life to start a brand new one. While I’m ready to leave behind Sacramento and living with my parents, there is a part of me that will miss them, miss the town I grew up in, and miss the people (and my dogs) that I will leave behind. But, then, I remember where I’m going. And I get so excited to begin a new chapter in San Francisco both with old friends and friends yet to be made.
I think its that feeling, that terrified exhilaration, that makes moving and transferring your life so great. It’s pushing past the nerves and going into the unknown that really makes you realize who you are and who the person is that you want to become.
So, wish me luck babies. This season of the series is over but, don’t fret, the new season starts with the blink of an eye and a flutter of the heart.
LOVE <3

Remember that fortune I got a while back?
“A bold and dashing adventure is in your future within the year”
Well, it looks like that fortune has come true! After months and months of job searching and blowing up Craigslist, Monster.com, Indeed.com, etc like it was my job (which, i guess in hindsight, it kinda was…), I have finally left the boring and ever-frustrating world of the unemployed!

I will give you a moment to bask in this revelation and feel intense amounts of joy for me….
The job is based in San Francisco and I will be starting it on February 15th. 2 weeks- Ah! Can’t believe its finally happening. A- that I am moving out of my parents house. B- That my year and however many months of traveling and bumming around is over. And C- that I am actually joining the real world and will have a real job and a real apartment and real things that are all REALLY mine.
I went apartment hunting in the city last weekend and, as luck would have it, the very last place that I visited was “the one”. Weird how that tends to happen huh? It’s always either the first, or the last. I almost didn’t respond to their listing either, only cause I already had to many other places to view, but, still. Glad I did though, guess it was serendipity.
To end, I’ll leave you with a song I’ve been playing over and over the last few days from this gorgeous Malaysian- born singer named Zee Avi. She’s only 23 too! Lovin’ her. Here’s one of my favorites of hers, Bitter Heart.
Happy day friends! I’m a city girl now (well, almost…).

Love this. Love her. Effortlessly chic but also laid-back and comfortable (minus the heels, which are totally amazing).

In honor of the unbelievable amount of excitement I have for Coachella, I’ve decided to share with you (whoever you are…) some of my favorites tunes from my favorites Coachella artistes, videos and all!
This first song has been on replay in my Itunes for the last week. Although I knew and loved the song before I saw the movie, seeing (500) Days of Summer last week really made me obsessed all over again. Its so beautiful and haunting and honestly makes me smile and cry at the same time when I hear it. For all a yous, Temper Trap- Sweet Disposition.
Maybe the group/person I’m most excited to see at Coachella is Florence and The Machine. Her voice so raw and powerful, it hits you like BAM. Here is one of my favorite of her songs, Florence and the Machine- Dog Days Are Over.
Another band I am SO excited to see live are Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. I can only imagine all of them with no shoes on stage together playing on their slide whistles, kazoos and any and everything in between. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros- Home.
I’ve been trying to see Vampire Weekend forever but it always happens that whenever they are near me I’m gone or doing something else. Breaks my heart every time but, NO LONGER, since I will finally be seeing them in April. Here is my all time favorite Vampire Weekend song, seriously try not to move at least one part of your body while listening to it. I dare you. Vampire Weekend- A- Punk.
And a few more just to throw them out there…
Sia- The Girl You Lost To Cocaine
Enjoy babies.

p.s. almost forgot- love this jam from Bassnectar. Not his usual dirty, grimy, bass heavy beats but definitely will put a smile on your face and a kick in your step. Bassnectar- Laughter Crescendo

Oh. Em. Gee.
The official lineup was announced for the 11th annual Coachella Music Festival, happening April 16-18 in Indio, CA, on Tuesday, and, just let me tell you, I think I might have to invest in some Depends. Every time I look at it, I pee a little bit. It is SO AMAZING! Let me just give you some of the ones I’m most stoked about:
Vampire Weekend, Temper Trap, Miike Snow, Florence and the Machine, Passion Pit (again), Dirty Projectors, Deadmau5 (again), Glitch Mob, David Guetta, and so so many more. No lie, every time I look at the poster I find another artist that makes my heart go pitter patter. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Interested in any of those? One of the days, two of them, ALL of them? Click here to get buy tickets. Up until February 15th you can get tickets on layaway, meaning basically, a payment plan. That’s what I’m doing, makes much more financial sense for me. Starting this Friday the 22nd, regular tickets go on sale. Meaning you can buy, 1,2, or 3 days worth of the concert, whatever you choose.
There are also many different options for accommodation at Coachella. There is a campground right next to the festival site with free amenities including showers, internet cafe with free Wifi, and cell phone charging stations. Click here to get more information about that. Since it is very close to Palm Springs, many people (especially if in a large group) choose to rent condos or houses, and some choose to stay at motels close by the festival grounds.
Whatever accommodations or ticket package you choose, Coachella is going to be an unreal time. Is it April yet?
