I Smell Roses…

December 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

What a game, what a game, WHAT. A. GAME! It was brutal out there, really was a war for the roses. (soooo cheesy, i know! but im just in such a good/cheesy/happy mood! its staying…)

Oregon beat Oregon State 37-33 in a heart poundingly awesome game at Autzen Stadium tonight. I just wish I could have been there. The crowd rushed the field and, I swear, stayed there for at least a half hour. Actually, I think they might still be there now…

Tonight’s game just cemented the fact how much I love The University of Oregon and makes me miss it so much more. The enthusiasm, excitement, loyalness and pure love for Oregon Athletics that Oregon fans have is unrivaled and is a truly beautiful thing to see. Hopefully us being Pac 10 champions (and FINALLY dethroning 7 time winners USC!) and our appearance in the upcoming Rose Bowl will finally put Oregon on the map, and people will begin to really take us seriously. Not just Oregon fans, not just Pac 10 fans, but people nationwide. We are here. And we aren’t going anywhere!!! (most cliche statement ever, I know. Seemed fitting?)

I leave you with this awesome video made by the U of O group (team, friends, musicians??) Supwitchu girl, to just let you know how much much we do, love our ducks. :)

I feel it in my bones…

November 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

This past Saturday I went ahead and popped my cherry. My Tiesto cherry that is. And, boy oh BOY, did it feel good. :)

Tiesto played this past Saturday night at the Cow Palace arena in Daly City (San Francisco), and I could not have been happier with the show. He is a true professional, in every sense of the word. It was just him on stage, with huge screens behind him, strobe lights, confetti, confetti strings, smoke, and fire. Definitely a production in the best way.

Kaleidoscopes are still rip roaring and running through my head and I wish that I was back there right meow. Here is a great video I found on YouTube that kinda, just kinda, explains the amazingness that was my Saturday night.

Peace, Love and Strobe Lights my friends.

Woof Woof. Happy Veterans Day

November 12, 2009 · Leave a Comment

In the spirit of veterans day, and in the spirit of us not forgetting that we are currently at war right now (oh yah, forgot didnt cha?), here is a heartwarming and seriously tear inducing video.

First seen via @johncmayer but posted on the blog Mental Floss,  this video shows clips of soldiers and their dogs reactions to their return from war and service. Uhhhhmazing, cute, beautiful and truly heart wrenching; in the best of ways. The last video, while not regarding animals, is a favorite. Seriously, I double dog dare you not to cry. Will literally buy you something shiny and platinum if you do not cry, it’s that emotional. Gorgeousness. Enjoy kiddies, and please remember to continue supporting our troops. They might not be in our vision right now but they are definitely in our minds and hearts.

Peace.

Ze Poifect Trench

November 10, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I really think there is nothing sexier then a trench coat. It just oozes confidence and sexuality to me. Via The Sartorialist , here are some gorgeous examples of just how to wear that perfect trench.

Ok so these two little munchkinds don’t “ooze sexuality” as I had previously written, but just how damn cute are they?  Love it. When I have kids I am for sure getting them some matching trenches. Bam

Quack Quack Quack

Last weekend I went to the Oregon vs USC game at Autzen stadium, my first Duck game since December of 2007, aka altogether WAY too much time. I missed my Duckies alot, and they DEFINITELY did not disappoint. For those of you who didn’t know, we SPANKED USC. I mean, we killed them. 47-20. A complete embarrassment for Pete Carroll and maybe the best Duck game I had ever been to. The feeling inside Autzen was honestly electrifying, there is really nothing like it. It hooked me in, yet again.

And so, this weekend, I’m doing it again! Heading to San Franceeeesco/Palo Alto to watch my Duckies get another big W at Stanford tomorrow afternoon. We’ve got a party bus heading from North Beach to the stadium at 10am tomorrow morning, well, two party buses actually. From reading the signs, I believe it will be a pretty redonkulous day. For everyone not at the game, WATCH IT! And I will be thinking of you. :)

So, I leave you with this…

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I heart, you heart, we all heart…it!

November 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Whether you are looking for cute pictures of puppies, pictures of hot guys with their shirts off, clothes, shoes, babies, sunsets, flowers, or really anything else inspirational and purdy, We Heart It is the place to go.

We Heart It basically allows users to create online albums, or hearts, where people can add their favorites images and videos. It is a public interface where you can share, view and add your and other peoples hearts to your own collection. Really a b-e-a-utifil thang. Here are some of my favorites… Enjoy amigos!

Max and Jason Hold My <3

November 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

So, for those of you who watch Current TV, you know who I’m talking about. For those of you who don’t watch Current TV, you should. And for those of you who don’t know what Current is, click here and check it out. It will rock your proverbial world.

current.jpg

Anyways, I digress. As much as I would love to go into a long, drawn out explanation of why and just how much I love Current TV (which I promise will come at a later date) the point of this post is a different story altogether.

Max and Jason are the two original hosts of Current TV (which by the way, is Emmy award winning, and owned by Al Gore! later date, shit. Continuing…) and they currently (ha) host a late night, hour long show called Max and Jason: Still Up,  which showcases short form documentaries about a wide range of subjects from ghostriding the whip, Burning Man, environmentally friendly upstarts, poverty in third world countries, and any and everything in between.

The point of this post is basically for me to say: I think I love them. On screen they basically look like they have just thrown on whatever was lying on their floor (this is a plus, not a minus, for me), they always wear TOMS shoes (hawt), they are liberal minded, artistic, and not to mention: totally cute.

I felt like I had moved past my days of teeny bopper Nsync’ obsessions (Yes I was obsessed with Nsync. Hey, give me a break, I was 13!) , but these two give my heart a lil flutter and I feel it coming back on. A real, life celebrity crush! I am such a dork. Especially because now I am choosing to air out this embarrassing little crush as the first post on my blog, which, oh, BY THE WAY LINDSEY, is available to whoever chooses to surf the world wide web.

Max and Jason

On that note, I’m not sure which one I actually have a crush on. Sometimes I think Max, other times, I think Jason. Regardless, everyone should watch their show. The docs are always interesting, original and every night has a different theme. Oh, and, the hosts are really cute. I mean, just look at them! How adorable :)

Watch Max and Jason: Still Up on Current TV every night at 12 am Eastern/10 pm Central. You can also follow them on Twitter @maxandjason.

Peace out trouts
